This website is designed not to collect your personal data. We have no forms, no registration, and we don't store your contact information in any database of our own. Below is exactly what we do collect and why.
1. Data controller
Pura Noche is operated by the Mendoza Miranda family, based in Venado, Nicoya, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

2. What information we collect
We only collect the following:
- Anonymous browsing data (pages visited, time on each section, device, language) through Microsoft Clarity, an analytics tool that helps us improve the experience.
- Technical preferences stored locally in your browser: the selected language (NEXT_LOCALE cookie) and whether you enabled ambient sound (pn_sound_pref). This data stays on your device.
3. When you contact us
If you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation lives in Meta's (WhatsApp Inc.) system under their terms. We don't store your messages on our own server.
If you book through Airbnb, your data is handled directly by Airbnb under their privacy policy. We don't have access to your payment information or identity beyond what you choose to share with us.
4. Who we share your data with
Only with the technical providers that make the site possible:
- Microsoft Clarity (analytics) — privacy.microsoft.com
- Vercel (hosting) — vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Meta / WhatsApp (if you message us through that channel)
- Airbnb (if you book through that platform)
5. We don't sell your data
We do not sell, rent or hand over your data to third parties for external advertising purposes. Period.
6. Your rights
Under Costa Rica's Law 8968 (Protection of Persons regarding the processing of personal data), you have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Cancel it if you no longer want us to keep it
- Object to its processing
