A real sky
No light pollution. On clear nights the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye — and there's a telescope on the property so you can look up close.

Guanacaste · Blue Zone
An authentic rural house between San Juanillo and Marbella. Here the luxury is the silence, the stars and real pura vida — not the postcard version.

Our story
This house belongs to the Mendoza Miranda family — Guanacastecos through and through. They built it with their own hands to open the doors to anyone who wants to see the real Costa Rica.
Here you wake up to the chachalacas, swim in the Río Tabaco a few minutes away, lie back in the hammock with the telescope and watch the Milky Way. The beaches are just around the corner and people still ride horses through the village.
No traffic, no city lights, no crowds. Real calm — the kind that's almost gone.
What you'll live
Pura Noche isn't a resort. It's a house in the bush — you fall asleep to crickets and wake to the call of the chachalacas.
No light pollution. On clear nights the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye — and there's a telescope on the property so you can look up close.
You're in one of five regions on Earth where people live the longest. Something about this air.
No pedestrianized streets built for tourists. This is rural Guanacaste — people still ride horses through town.
Marbella is 10 minutes away, San Juanillo 25. Most days they're yours and nobody else's.
To do
A lot happens without leaving the property. What's outside is a few minutes away by car.

Howler monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds and butterflies show up unannounced. The house is surrounded by dry tropical forest — wildlife checks in daily.

Private pool, open-air rancho with BBQ and hammocks. The center of slow days — where you cook, nap, and plan very little.

Short trails around the house. For sipping morning coffee on a walk or stretching after lunch.

Telescope for the Milky Way, fire pit for late beers, hammock for watching nothing. The silence here is the plan.
Why here
Nicoya is one of five regions in the world with the highest concentration of centenarians. It's not marketing — National Geographic and Dan Buettner researched it. Something about the diet, the water, the sun, the calm. And two national parks a few hours away: Barra Honda with its caves and Diriá with its tropical dry forest. Come find out for a few days.
